Hi everyone! I'm Benny Lewis. I run the largest language learning blog in the world, fluentin3months.com, where I offer tips and encouragement for adults who are interested in speaking another language. A bit of background about me: I have a degree in electronic engineering and at the age of 21, I only spoke English. I attempted to approach language learning in a completely new way as an adult, and now I can speak 10 languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian, Irish/Gaeilge, Esperanto, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Dutch and Mandarin Chinese) as well as sign American Sign Language, all in varying degrees from comfortable conversational to professional fluency. I'm currently in Brazil, attempting to reach fluency in Egyptian Arabic in three months entirely through online conversations, to prove that living in the right country is not necessary in this day and age to create a virtual immersion environment.
